I've been designing websites since '01. I got started doing this because I had a burning desire to create a super awesome online user experience for people wanting to learn to play a music instrument. It was probably going to be a dotcom disaster, nonetheless, I had some pretty darn innovative ideas before the times of YouTube, Facebook, and Google came along. In fact, had I been in the right place at the right time, I may have ended up with one of these guys crafting the 2.0 web. That's right! It don't get any cockier than that ;) Having other priorities, like music, exploration, and the pursuit of alternative lifestyles, you could say I got distracted and used my web design skills to sustain my endeavors. The great thing is that as a result, I am now managing a very intentional web studio with very clear goals. I don't work with just anyone. Any project I embark on has to haver sustainability as a founding principle. That is non-negotiable. I now live in an ecovillage in the Big Island of Hawaii and have greatly reduce my impact on our planet. From here, my intent is to help you achieve the same or similar.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery75 feet underwater free dive (one breath); Up Mt. Wrightson the long way (10 hr. very steep hike!); 5.9-5.11 rock climb with slippery soccer Adidas (non rock climbing shoes...might as well have done it barefoot ;-); (NOTE: I'm working very hard on adding to this list!); Made the big move to an ecovillage to live as sustainably as possible; Won a classical guitar competition when I was seventeen.
Good music (playing it, making it, and appreciating it); Nueva Trova; Light back packing; hard to get to waterfalls and mountains spots; raw and super foods.
